Last week was a week, no joke. It even had 7 days just in case you think I’m lying.
Anywho last week marked the passing of my final lectures in Montana. All that I have left are exams on Mondy and Wednesday, then I’m done with uni for the year. On Saturday I leave Missoula for San Francisco for a few days before heading home, to a new home. In just over a weeks time I will no longer be homeless!
Until that time comes there was still next week as well as the week that was. More on last week later on.
Last Week:
Monday was your typical Monday. Classes from 9-3, watch YouTube, and working towards submitting final assignments. 1 class on Tuesday, 9-3 again on Wednesday and so on..
On Thursday evening an end of semester party was held for one of my classes. About a quarter of the class attended and it was great being able to mingle with them. I demonstrated how to eat Marmite properly. Sadly there was only the evil Vegemite and the fake British ‘Marmite’ so I had to settle with Vegemite, purely because its consistancy is closest to real, Kiwi Marmite.
On Friday morning I had my twice rearranged group presentation at 1000. The only problem was the lecturer decided not to show up and not to tell us. So we filmed it ourselves and emailed it in. I had my final lecture before heading off to my first Missoula Maulers game. The Maulers are the local junior hockey team for Missoula and they were pitted against nearby Butte in what promised to be a tasty encounter. There were mascots! There were fighting mascots! There were plenty of goals! But most importantly there were fights! 1 big one and a small kerfuffle, but there was a big fight! Gloves off and punches thrown! I was impressed given the league is for players between 16 and 20. Missoula ended up beating the neighbours 5-2. Unfortunately there is always the 1 prick who doesn’t get that the players are kids, and decided to shout abuse at the refs and Butte players. We ended the night by heading to Maccas where I got my customary quarter pounder and 2 cheeseburgers.

Saturday saw our last movie night at Shannen and Fiona’s. We watched 2 Disney classics, Bimbo and The Lion King. Bimbo was just a dream inducing pile of s…… where nothing happened. The Lion King takes on a much darker tone when watching it with a bunch of tewnty-something year olds.
On Sunday I walked downtown with Kate while there is still snow. The temperature hovers just above freezing so the snow is slowly melting. The cloud was low (well, lower than usual) and we have been in it the whole day.

So less than a week to enjoy this incredible town. 2 exams to go. We’ll make it a cracker!!
